About the International Members
The category of International members has been created to encourage the cooperation with overseas candidates.
Conditions for Becoming a Member
- The candidate must be a member at their home country’s dermatology association (the association must be affiliated with the ILDS). It is not necessary to hold a medical specialist qualification from your home country’s dermatology association.
- Along with the Membership Application Form, you must submit a certificate of affiliation with the dermatology association of your home country.
- Along with the Membership Application Form, you must attach a photograph of your face for use on your membership card. (Size: Image file under 3MB)
Member Benefits
- Access to The Journal of Dermatology online (no paper copies distributed).
- Regular member participation fee for the general meeting of the Japanese Dermatological Association.
- Official membership card (required when participating in the general meeting).
Membership Applications
1. If you wish to become a member, please click the "Email Address Submission Form" link below and enter the required information, and submit the form.
Within five minutes, the Membership Application Form will be automatically sent via e-mail to the e-mail address you entered.
If you do not receive the e-mail, please check your spam folder (the domain is "shunkosha.com"). If you still cannot find it, please try a different e-mail address.
2. Once you receive the Membership Application Form, enter all the necessary items in English (please see the sample below). Please note that information entered in Japanese or any another language will not be registered.

3. Following the receipt of the membership application form, your application will be evaluated by the board of directors. The evaluation is carried out once every two months. Upon completion of evaluation, you will receive a notification of membership approval as well as the invoice for the annual fees. Once the payment of the annual fees has been confirmed, membership registration will be carried out and a membership card, ID and password will be issued.
Furthermore, please understand that the academic journal cannot be read online until the membership card has been received.
4. Your membership will be renewed automatically.

Annual membership fee for international members: 15,000 yen
Please pay the membership fee with a credit card.
